DEPRESSION THERAPY

All of us occasionally experience feelings of sadness, emptiness, or purposelessness. However, if such feelings persist over time and, thereafter, manifest into symptoms of anger, hopelessness, irritability, fatigue, loss of pleasure in activities, appetite change , insomnia, suicidal thoughts, etc, for more than two weeks, it is important to seek help from a psychiatrist to rule out clinical depression.

ANXIETY THERAPY

Anxiety is a state of continuous worry about the future. The generalized form of anxiety manifests itself where fearful thoughts engulf all aspects of your life, or it could be specific to a pending performance, social situations, relationships, your body or more.
Your persistent anxiety could emanate from various facets of your past experience or your ingrained feelings of inadequacy in dealing with life situations on your own terms.
If the symptoms are severe and disrupt your normal functioning, it is advisable to see a psychiatrist for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

SPLIT PERSONALITY
DISORDERS THERAPY

As defined in DSM-5, published by the American Psychiatric Association, a Personality Disorder is an enduring pattern of inner experience and behaviors that markedly deviates from the expectations of the individual’s culture, is pervasive and inflexible, has an onset in adolescence or early adulthood, is stable over time, and leads to distress or impairment.
Personality traits of an individual are the enduring patterns of perceiving, relating to, and thinking about the environment and one’s own self that are exhibited in a wide range of personal & social contexts.
There is no shame in having a Personality Disorder(PD), as it is a learnt behavior for survival.
DSM -5 enlists 10 types of PD as Paranoid, Schizoid, Schizotypal, Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic, Narcissistic, Avoidant, Dependent and Obsessive-Compulsive with distinctive diagnostic criteria.

CO-DEPENDENCE AND ANXIOUS ATTACHMENTS THERAPY

Co-dependency is a term that is often thrown around liberally. It is a problem that gets manifested in one’s relationships in the form of an anxious attachment style. An anxious attachment style with a person in one’s life can make a person feel that he/she is not good enough and does not measure up to the other person.
As this critical voice is so dominant and overpowering, one incessantly looks for further closeness and proximity and, in turn, forgets or turns a blind eye to his/her own inner needs, remaining in a constant search-mode for validation and acceptance from the other person.
